Jax Creations Photography presents…. 12 Days Of Christmas

I’ve decided to be a little Christmas joy a little early. Beginning on TODAY, each day (for 12 days – no Sundays) the studio will announce a special gift to everyone that books a regular session that day. Be sure to check daily to see what the new gift will be!

All you have to do is call the studio at 509.438.3331 or email Jackie@jax-creations.com, book and pay for your session and claim your special gift.

A few rules apply.
1) Only one special per session.
2) Session fee must be paid at booking to reserve your appointment. All sessions must take place by January 30, 2011.
3) Not valid with any other specials or coupons. No cash value. No refunds.

There are usually a handful of things that makes my heart skips beats. A pregnant belly. A fresh newborn. A giggly infant. Chubby baby legs. Sweet baby tootsies. Hearing my kids belly laugh. Looking into my husband’s eyes……. and knowing the men and women who server our country.

Back a few months ago I was part of a worldwide blog contest where others would nominate a family for a photography session with me. There were a lot of entries and it was so hard to just pick one… they all had wonderful reasons to have a session, but the rules were to pick one. The lucky winner was a fellow MOPS mom – a super sweet and VERY talented mom- Jenni R. She has these 2 adorable boys that are extremely polite. I found out that her hubby was getting ready to be deployed to serve our country. I KNEW this was just meant to be! As a military brat myself and a brother who is currently over in Iraq, my heart skipped a few beats for this family. I am so glad to be able to do this session for them. To give them these family portraits that they can cherish for years to come. I am SO thankful for his service and I pray that he returns home safely back to his family. I know that they will all miss him so very much!

We had a great time (at least I hope so) in this new location they scouted out. It was so beautiful and so peaceful.

August seems to be a pretty cool month! I celebrate the birth of my 3rd child, the days are nice and warm- usually happy, and I am celebrating my FIVE years in business!

It has been a crazy ride for sure. I have been so blessed with so many wonderful clients and friends- and have enjoyed every moment of watching all those little babies grow into adorable kiddos!

I have been embarrassed more than once – some good stories to share and scared to look back on the “old”images. Let’s just say, I have learned some things along the way!

I really wanted to do something SO COOL to celebrate this five year mark, but I like to do too much that time really got away from me and the oringal plan just wasnt going to happen. But that is ok we are going to do something fun anyway!!

Starting today till the 20th (the birthday – day) I will be giving away (1) item. Some of these will be included with orders placed on that day and some will be just something fun.. like chocolate

Just a quick note to tell ya whats up. Well, first off, traffic is TERRIBLE today in town- and NO ONE is paying attention to anything! Grrr makes me so fruity!

Anywho- TONIGHT & TOMORROW night at the Panida in SAndpoint, the documentary, BABIES, is playing at 7:30pm. Give yourself a break from the week and go see this light hearted beautiful movie. While you are there- don’t forget to check out all the babies that are on display inside the lobby.

As a mom of 4, a housewife, and a business owner, i know all too well the stresses of life. Throughout the day my kids have pushed my every button and tested my last nerve….. but its them that remind me that they just need my attention. All too often I have yelled and screamed- just for them to LISTEN to me- or stop fighting- or just do what I ask them to do. But NEVER once have I ever put my hand on my child to HURT them… and tonight as I am thinking about the Angels Of Hope event, I do not think I will ever understand how ANYONE can do such a terrible thing. Just to look into the eyes of a child- so innocent. All they want is your love and praise. It makes me sick to think how someone could do such TERRIBLE things to a little child. Its funny how we need a license to drive a car or a degree to perform some job, but when it comes to raising children… no one blinks an eye or even questions your ability.

Tonight I was planning out a little video to share come August 1- the start date of Angels Of Hope- and I was searching for the perfect song. Something cute and upbeat for all our angels, when it crossed my mind of a song that I heard looonng ago. So I did what every other late night computer addict would do…. I goggled it

I am not sure if you have heard this song or even remember it. But tonight (or this morning as you are reading this), I ask you to listen to this song, think of your wonderful children and how much they mean to you… then I want you to think of those babies- those children, who are so small and eyes so pure, and ask yourself how you can help.

Don’t just look away. Stand up and make a difference.

Another sunny installment of Beach Beauties!!!

I have known this family for over a year now and I am lovin’ every stage of it!!

We had schdeuled this session more than 1 time, but as you are aware.. the weather has been anything BUT helpful. Finally we had a sunny and warm day and just couldnt let it slip by… so the beach we went!!!

At first all was good until I let the balloon go. Let’s just say… I did not make any friends by doing THAT!!

I love the look of the photos.. vintage fresh feeling. Imagine how nice these would look in a ocean blue/green and white frame!!

I had put out little feelers last week on how many of you would be interested in a workshop on how to take better photos of YOUR kids with YOUR camera…. I got a lot of feedback from that post….So a photog friend of mine decided to team up and introduce to you….

It means so much to me to be able to share my gift with others… it really does bring me joy. Photographs are so important in life. It brings back that memory to yourself. There have been so many times where looking back at a photo- whether its a “studio” image or a lifestyle image… I remember that moment- that child- that love! That is why I feel it is so important that every family makes it a point to get a professional photo session _EVERY year!! SO many things change every year and it is really fun to just get out and have fun with your photographer – whom ever it may be!!

Well, here it is.. the last Mommy & Me mini session post and what you dont know is that it will take me at least an hour to write this up because of a baby that wants to type along.

Just like the last session- it was fun. There is something so wonderful when you get to see the relationship of a mom with her kids! Just makes my heart smile!
