Oh man.. how I LOVE the monthly cake smash sessions. I always end up leaving the day with the worse headache from laughing and smiling so hard. These babies are all so amazing and SO funny!

I truly love how each child is different at touching or eating their cake. Makes me so excited for Jack’s birthday session. He is not one for neat eating. He believes that one must use BOTH his hands in a forceful motion.

For June we had a total of 4 babies that were celebrating their birthday!! The smell of all that cake and frosting made my tummy SCREAM at me for some. I tell ya- it IS hard sitting behind that camera and smell all that yummy goodness. After helping moms and dads clean up their little one- I looked like I had an explosion of finger paints on me. I was covered in multi- colored frosting.. and I smelt sweet too

Cake smash sessions seriously make me giggle. There are nothing better (besides snuggling with a newbie) then watching a baby get all messy with a cake!! It is pure entertainment!

This month, we only had 1 little guy that celebrated his birthday with the special Moe Moe’s Garden Birthday Blast. I enjoyed EVERY second of his smash. The facial expressions and smiles he gave were just too cute!

I seriously thought this week wouldn’t end… ok and I feel like these next 2 weeks are never going to come and end either.. I guess that is what happens when you are watching the calendar and clock for D DAY! As of today I have 11 days left of carrying this baby in belly. I can not express enough to you how excited I am to just hold this little miracle. Time really can not come fast enough.

Friday was my last Sun Kissed Summer Mini Session… and I have to say, it was a lot of fun seeing everyone and capturing those cute images. I hope you are not bored with seeing more, because I have this one more session to share!!

I first met this little guy when he was just a newbie.. and NOW look at him- such a big- happy- boy. And his beautiful momma is expecting another one.. YAH!! I can’t wait to meet this little one she is growing. I am hoping it will be a girl!

Check out this watermelon. Talk about playing with your senses. Or at least it did mine. Completely opposite on the outside and the inside YELLOW. Every time I looked at it, my mouth watered thinking it tasted like something tropical like pineapple but no joke, it tasted JUST like a normal pink watermelon! I still can’t get over it

How can your heart NOT smile when you look at this little man. Every time I clicked my shutter I giggled and made a comment about how CUTE he was!

And such a sweet personality. I was so happy that I was able to capture this little guy and meet his momma. Although he was MUCH more interested in squishing the watermelon than eating it, it was still a lot of fun watching him discover.

One of my fave things about summer is how beautiful the sun can be in the evenings. If I could… I would lay in the grass and let the sun kiss my face as the sun sets behind our mountains. The evening sun, here in Sandpoint Idaho, has this beautiful glow to it. And as a photographer- its like GOLD. It can create some beautiful images.

Before I take my final leave of maternity leave, I wanted to offer something fun for all my wonderful clients and fans.

Sun Kissed Summer~ Mini Session

I had put up a voting question last week to see what you would like to see.. Something to do with laundry or watermelon.. well for a while, it was all so very close… and I personally couldn’t make my mind up. So, I am offering you BOTH.

Mini sessions last about 15-30 min (that more depends on how slow this prego body of mine moves). Mini sessions are a lot of fun and it lets the kiddos have a burst of fun with no pressure to be “picture perfect”- not that I EVER expect that.

Either one of these fun sessions can be for boy or girl… So lets have some summer fun!!
