How can your heart NOT smile when you look at this little man. Every time I clicked my shutter I giggled and made a comment about how CUTE he was!

And such a sweet personality. I was so happy that I was able to capture this little guy and meet his momma. Although he was MUCH more interested in squishing the watermelon than eating it, it was still a lot of fun watching him discover.

** L- thank you so much for participating in the Sun Kissed Summer Mini Session. It was a great pleasure meeting you and your little one. I really enjoyed our time together and editing these photos…. He is so stinken cute!! **

The last time I got to see this cute little one, was when he was a newborn! I am always amazed on how grown up kids look when I don’t see them for a while. You would think by now I would actually GET that they grow up lol.. but EVERY time I am just shocked!

I have to give you a little back story on this family- only because it just warms my heart. I first met this momma when she was engaged. She booked us to do her wedding a few years ago and it was the MOST emotionally sweet wedding. This couple was (and still are) so in love. It seriously just poured out of their pores! I prayed that their love would last a lifetime and be spread to other couples everywhere!

When they announced that they were expecting, it was only natural to do some fun maternity photos. I was so happy that this couple was going to have a baby!! I know too that their family couldn’t wait either to see this little one.

So when little C was born, we met up once again to do some newborn photos and created some pieces that were as beautiful as their love :)

Well, they are expecting again and I am so HAPPY that I get to once again capture this miracle from a family of 3 to a family of 4! Since I have not seen this little man in 15 months, we set up a day to do family photos and kick off the Sun Kissed Summer Mini Session idea. I had a lot of fun with them- like I always do!!

** S & J, thank you so much for letting me be a part of your life to capture your finest moments! I am so glad that I get to be a part of it!! **

One of my fave things about summer is how beautiful the sun can be in the evenings. If I could… I would lay in the grass and let the sun kiss my face as the sun sets behind our mountains. The evening sun, here in Sandpoint Idaho, has this beautiful glow to it. And as a photographer- its like GOLD. It can create some beautiful images.

Before I take my final leave of maternity leave, I wanted to offer something fun for all my wonderful clients and fans.

Sun Kissed Summer~ Mini Session

I had put up a voting question last week to see what you would like to see.. Something to do with laundry or watermelon.. well for a while, it was all so very close… and I personally couldn’t make my mind up. So, I am offering you BOTH.

Mini sessions last about 15-30 min (that more depends on how slow this prego body of mine moves). Mini sessions are a lot of fun and it lets the kiddos have a burst of fun with no pressure to be “picture perfect”- not that I EVER expect that.

I hope you all are enjoying these last few weeks of summer. As for me…. I am counting down my days to D DAY!! It actually can’t come fast enough LOL- but I guess that is the life of a prego momma!!

Liam… all grown up :(

It feels like yesterday when I got to fly down to Colorado to meet this little guy. His momma and I have become good friends- another wonderful perk of my “job” and it has been so wonderful watching him grow into this little toddler he is.

Last week, Liam and his momma came back up to Sandpoint, Id to visit family and I was lucky enough to be able to see them while they were here. I had to do 2 visits with them.. one to just catch up with momma and get as many cuddles as I could with Liam and then another visit just so I could play photos with him.

I can not get over his eyes and his funny- cute smile… yeah.. I love the little man- and WISH they lived closer. Who knows, maybe God has a great plan for them all out here in Sandpoint idaho!

** S- it was so wonderful seeing you again and I wish I was there to give you a hand.. or at least watch from the couch as our little ones play together!! **

Ok… maybe not the crafty person I want to be- but I sure do LOVE crafts.. if someone does them with me!

A while ago I took up knitting and it has been one heck of a journey. It wasn’t until my good friend Crystal shared a pattern with me that I just LOVE. This one is so simple- just the speed I need. So I have been making hats like I was supplying a store front! Ok , well maybe not THAT many, but I have a few….and more yarn to use to make more :)

I know that many of you have been asking for pictures and I have finally gotten around to taking them- it’s just hard showing how cute they are without a little baby to model for me. There is ONE image I have of a little one that has one on, on THIS post.

here are my hats that I have created:)

baby blue pixie- Cotton

Side view- baby blue

Baby brown pixie- Alpaca med weight. So I discovered while knitting this hat that I am a wee bit allergic to this yarn- but I am ok with torturing myself because they are too cute..and I have 3 more skeins I want to use!

Alpaca yarn- blue is light weight and brown is med

these are cute, huh.

Another crafty thing my good friend helped me do was these ADORABLE flower head/ hair pieces. Large ones look great on older children.. small ones are great for those adorable babies.

Which style do you like best??

large & med Mustard flower

Small Mustard Flower

Gray Flower

Coral mini flower bunch

I think I like them all, but the little coral flower bunch is going to look so cute on a little baby girl :)

I had the PLEASURE of meeting this little babe just a day old. I can not express in words how happy I was for this family or how gooey my heart got when I saw her. For one it made me long to see this little boy I am carrying but more than anything, I was just in awe on how much hair she had and how beautifully wrinkly her toes were. There is something so AMAZING seeing a BRAND new baby. It’s one of those things where you have to just admire the miracle that it truly is!

I would like to introduce baby V. I was invited into the hospital to capture this wee one in all her pureness and beauty.

* S & J- thank you SO much for letting me not only meet baby V but also capture her as she was! *

I do have to admit that we live in the MOST beautiful place EVER….How can not deny it when you look at the mountains and the lake. It’s peace on earth I do believe!

I had the GREAT pleasure of meeting a family of 19!!! They came from the scorching city of Arizona, Montana, and good ‘ol Washington for a 4th of July family reunion. I was very happy to be able to meet this family and have a photo fun day!

They stayed at this A M A Z I N G rental house that all the kids called “The Mansion” and for good reason, but the best part was the beautiful Sandpoint view of Lake Pend Oreille.

The funniest part of the day- for me- was telling them that I wasn’t too comfortable going on the dock alone. I had to explain to her THIS story. Oh how the memories of that came flooding back.. All I could think of then was with THIS body- I would have gone RIGHT to the bottom!!

Here are a few sneak peeks on our family fun day!!

** R – thank you so much for having me capture your family during your vacation. I really had a great time not only with the kids but with all the adults. Everyone was so wonderful as they waited for me to waddle from one spot to another. I hope you all had an amazing time here in Sandpoint!! **

I wanted to share a session that I had a few weeks ago of one of my FAVE clients. They were getting ready to move and thankfully they called me up for one last final session before they embarked on their new adventures!

I have seen this little boy grow up from just a little pod. He is adorable and has such a personality. And he has the most AMAZING parents ever!! I am gonna miss them!

Here is a sneak peek into our last session together

*M, P, & T, I wish you all the best in your new home. You are going to be missed but I know that GREAT things are in store for you all!! *
