The other day, we had our first “birthday” girl and OH- MY- Goodness she was so stinken adorable and so much fun. She kept my tummy giggling.. and I believe I have fallen in love with this little cutie lol. Oh my gosh- and her mom?!!  AH-Mazing!!!! I could have stayed all day and chatted about anything. This family is the sweetest and I hope to be able to keep capturing them throughout the years!

One of the things I LOVE to create- besides photos… are the Session Albums. There is nothing more exciting then seeing a very well crafted coffee table book with images of a cute little one

One of my fave clients and her adorable little one have started a very sweet collection of books that started with her maternity session and ended with her daughters 12 month cake smash session.

This is one of my MOST favorite families.. I think I actually love everything about them all. Her hubby is sweet and patient… this momma is AWESOME, funny, a great friend and B E A U T I F U L.. wait till you see her photo later in this post.. umm HELLOOOO. She has the most adorable kiddos and that I just love and probably could tuck them away in my pockets and keep!

Sweet lil Taya is a VIP client and a part of my My Life Collection- celebrate 5 sessions to capture all those fun moments in your childs first year of life.. and we have had so much fun.. and I DREADING our last session. I keep sending her brain waves that she needs to have another baby just so I can keep seeing them!

I had SO much fun with this family!! Like, that doesn’t even explain HOW much fun I had.

I got to meet this amazing family from a referral and good ‘ol google, and I am so glad I got to meet them… have I told you how awesome they were???

Their little guy Taylor, had recently celebrated his first birthday…..so we celebrated the best way this photographer could…. with a Cake smash!!! He was so cute during his cake moments. He was not afraid to get messy- and I loved it.. he even shared his goodies with dad, mom and even tried sharing with me!

As much as I was excited for this session, I was also a little sad…. Our year of photos was coming to an end. This sweet little peanut has reached her 1 year old milestone.

It really has been such a pleasure watching this family grow and watching her sweet personality blossom. She has got to be the sweetest little girl I know…I could just put her in my pocket and carry her around forever… if she was to stay that small of course!

In celebration of her reaching her milestone.. we attempted to do a cake smash… ummm.. yeah… she gently reminded us that OUR plan is not HER plan. That is ok though.. I still ADORE her

August seems to be a pretty cool month! I celebrate the birth of my 3rd child, the days are nice and warm- usually happy, and I am celebrating my FIVE years in business!

It has been a crazy ride for sure. I have been so blessed with so many wonderful clients and friends- and have enjoyed every moment of watching all those little babies grow into adorable kiddos!

I have been embarrassed more than once – some good stories to share and scared to look back on the “old”images. Let’s just say, I have learned some things along the way!

I really wanted to do something SO COOL to celebrate this five year mark, but I like to do too much that time really got away from me and the oringal plan just wasnt going to happen. But that is ok we are going to do something fun anyway!!

If you have been following me on Facebook, you have heard my stories of photographing my little guy. I have one word to describe it…”UGH” and I dont say it lightly. Ever since this sweet, adorable boy of mine was born, he gave me such heart ache!!Maybe its because I have planned since the day I found out I was expecting I made a list of photos I wanted to get of him… I should have known better.

A local friend of mine was at the hospital on the day he was born and she was sweet enough to capture some images for me of his BIRTH-DAY. I just saw these for the first time the other day and it brought tears to my eyes. I will cherish these photos for  always. Crystal, thank you so much for a wonderful gift!! Next time I will be making you stay for the whole event

‘My sweet little chazbo… you have filled my heart with so much joy and so much love. Each day is a new adventure with you. Each day I fall more in love with you. Each day you make my heart smile. You love me with so many hugs and wet kisses. You make me laugh so often with how you try to get as close as you can to me. I think that if you could fit inside me- you would!!! I know you try!!! I have enjoyed watching you learn so many new things and watch in amazement on the things you discover! As much as my heart is happy to see you grow and learn each day, my heart also cries because you are no longer that little baby. It was so hard to see you turn ONE. Thank you so much for loving me for who I am… and on most days- the way I look. You can make any blue day- bright and shinny just by your big blue eyes and your big smile!! Happy birthday little man!’

fast forward to now……..

… I keep asking myself why the little stinker wont WORK for me. I have tried eVERYTHING in the photog book. And why do I get so frustrated with my own child???? *sigh* oh well!

There are more birthday photos to come.. some will have you rolling. He is such a stink bug!!!

It has been a busy “season”…. and I am lovin every moment of it. It feels so good to be able to bring happiness to people thru the glass of my lens. I am really blessed!

I want you to meet Miss C. This baby doll of a beauty I could have just snuggled her till I ate her up! {that just means I like her} I was invited in her home to capture some pictures of her before her big birthday party! When I got there she was a little shy, but give her a pink cookie and some space and she will show you her spunky personality. I had a great time her Miss C and her family. Her mom and dad were sweet and full of smiles and even her older brother gave me the giggles.
