I love it when I get to see a family grow
It is so amazing to me – and how awesome is it to get to know these people over time and watch amazing things!
Not too long ago, this sweet couple got married and I was there to witness this true amazing love between them. Not too long after their big day I got to capture the miracle of love they created by doing their maternity photos- one of my fave sessions of theirs, and then…..just the other day, I got to meet their beautiful gift from God. The love that they have for this child just oozed from them!!! I am so happy that I got to be the blessed one to capture so much love in this family… and I hope to be able to continue to do so through their lives!

If you or someone else you know is expecting, I would love to be the photographer for you to capture all those tiny and beautiful details of your precious one!

Is it Tuesday already?? What happened to the weekend?
I have been thinking a lot lately… and yes I know, that can be scary (lol) – you may see smoke escape my ears once in a while from all the HARD thinking
but on the business side, I am ready for some good changes so keep your eye out for some major over hauling coming this fall.
I have also finally drafted up a calendar of events for Jax Creations Photography- which is fun!! Look for the first special event coming THIS June down at City Beach!!!
Also with June creeping up on us, Fathers Day is coming and I have some great ideas on how you can celebrate your loved one.
Hmm, other than that – what has life been doing?? I have been enjoying my family lots. My “baby” is growing so fast- giving me that baby itch- which I think that has been part of my motivational workout issue.. why workout if one day i’ll just get all lumpy again.. yes I know its much better to be IN shape during pregnancy..i know i know… but why am I struggling so much?? I mean, I wanna look hot again. Although last night might have been my motivation moment.. I tried on a pair of my hubby’s jeans.. Lets just say he laughed and I cried.
Maybe today will be a good day for a neighborhood walk
I hope you all have a fabo Tuesday!!!

Happy Mothers Day to all those mommies out there!
I am reminded each day that my kids dont care what size clothes I wear, if I have no makeup on, or if I am 5 (or 10) pounds heavier than I should. My kids love ME just the way I am. Silly and All
*** To all my wonderful kiddos, and hubby, thank you for making my life as a mom so joyful. You are each a special blessing and you make my heart smile!! To MY mom – thank you for being my mom! I dont know how you raised us kids like you did- each day I am reminded how great you are and were a mom to us “kids”. Love you all!!***

Its Late afternoon on saturday…. and everyone but me and my babe are out enjoying the mud bogs this mothers day weekend. At first I was excited to have the house semi to myself, but now with this headache, I find myself being a little lonely.
I just realized that I am typing this and saying this all in my head with a southern accent LOL. I am so weird!
My parent surprised me today with a bday/ Mothers Day gift… I was SO super excited when I got it
You wanna see it? Of course you do
My new camera bag!!!

It is really relaxing having a semi quiet house and I think tonight I will treat myself to MY fave pizza, MY fave glass of wine and a peaceful hot bath ALL to myself
Hopefully this handsome little baby of mine will turn in at a decent time tonight!!

Meet baby B… I love this baby’s name… too bad I cant tell ya
Privacy reasons peps!
This beautiful family won a certificate from an Auction so we got to play!! This little man gave me a run! I learned that he did NOT like to be balled up- he rather lay flat and rocked back and forth. And he LOVES to eat
Both mom and dad were amazing and so paitent, but we finally had to call it quits because he just was DONE!
I did mange to get a few snaps that are cute.. here is our sneak peek into our session:)

Sisters | Sandpoint Photographer

There is a special bond between sisters- something I will never be able to fully understand. I mean I have a great sister-in-law and I love her dearly, but it must be something neat to grow up with a sister
Meet Miss S and Miss L.

Miss L was a pro.. she knew how to work the camera. Made me just giggle. A true model in the making. Everytime the shutter clicked, she would change poses… it was great!!
Sweet Miss S was a ham!!! She was the performer of the bunch. She liked to make us laugh.
Here is a sneak into their family session
*T, thanks so much for coming in to see me. I had a great time with your family. Your girls are amazing
I hope you enjoy your photos!*

yeah, I know I am a day late.. but probably by the time I actually get this psoted, it will be TWO days late. Oh well- that’s motherhood!
This morning I posted on my facebook “fan” page, that if you had any questions for me to post them and I would answer them…. Here are the list of questions that I was asked:
“how do you do it all“? Heheheh sweet Kayla…. I dont! Girl if you could see my house – especially the laundry, you would roll over laughing. Its by no means perfect or spotless. Its a lived in- kid filled home. I also have 2 older kiddos (10 and
that are my helpers. They are a HUGE help to me and I am so grateful for them. I try to divide my time equally for my buisness, my family, my husband and myself. And honestly I usually cheat myself out of that list, but its ok. I love my life!
* your plans for the the next 30 years- to live full-fully, happy and loved. TO be a servant to the Lord and live my purpose in life- whatever that may be
*your goal for the year- To keep rocking this town. I plan on hosting a benefit for a local place.. just trying to get it all lined out. So you will have to keep checking in on that. I am really excited about it!
*how do celebrate Cinco De Mayo? Cinco De Mayo??? Is that what today is??? Hmm. well this year it will be alone with my computer and maybe some home made tacos…. OH maybe I will get a wild hair and put on some SALSA music!!! OH-LA!
What are your favorite lenses to use? Ohhhh you will find me mostly shooting with my 50mm. its my baby! Its one that I will never be able to part with. Makes photos just amazing. My other “baby” is the 100mm… all I can say about that one is…. “awwww” it just gives me goose bumps and melts my heart. LOVE that lens!
What is your software of choice to edit photos with? Oh geez- that has got to be CS3- although I am upgrading that sucker to CS5 here hopefully next week! I have seen and heard so many wonderful things on it.. i cant wait to get my fingers on it! I also love using Adobe Bridge. A lot of photogs use Lightroom and I hear its amazing, but I never have been able to actually commit time into using it… plus Adobe Bridge never has given me any problems, so why change
Where do you find your cool newborn props? MUhahahahaha- everywhere!! Wait to you see what I picked up the other day!! OHHH I cant wait! You will find me poking around antique shops, garage sales, thrift stores or even Ross (goodness I love that store). Basically its all about getting creative. But you must never forget that even the simple things are the best
Like a plain piece of fabric on a solid background.
Where do you order all your pics? I order all my clients photos thru a professional lab online. There are many to choose from and I choose mine on quality, customer service and turn around time.
Those were all the questions that were left for me today. Thanks you all for participating. that was fun!
So here is my Kiss and Diss for the week
Kiss
The way my baby looks at me. The way he gets excited when he sees me and does his super speed crawl. The way he makes all those cute noises.
Coffee Almond Ice cream :p
Ross.. who doesnt love that store!
My new mommy-in-law. I love her. She is just so cute and fun to be around. I hope she visits more.
Being able to do what I do
DISS
Eating dinner alone
Rude people!
Lack of motivation to workout
The desire to eat popcorn and ice cream
Children that have no respect
BILLS!
So it seems that this post is going to jump from subject to subject- so sorry, but I have to tell you about my birthday
It was a family thang! On Monday my mom, my SIL, my MIL, and I, headed out for a massage- which was so needed, and then we dined at the WHite House Grill and did some shopping at Ross. All I can say is SCORE!!! And soon some friends and I are going to be getting crazy on a all girls Birthday Bunko Bash!!!
If you are looking for a massage, i have found the place for you!!! The Highlands Spa in Post Falls!!! Upstairs they have a full service spa, but downstairs they have their massage school!!!! When I was first thinking about doing a massage at the school, I figured there would be a bunch of half naked peps all lined up on these beds in a cold white room.. I was VERY surprised when we walked into the “class” where it was so warm and cozy, soft music playing and privacy!!! And the massage was GREAT!! I cant wait to go back! You will have to treat yourself and check it out! And if you do it at the right time, you can hit Sonic on your way home for Happy Hour
Well, I better get back to work. I know I have eager clients waiting on some pics
But first I wanted to share a few photos from when we went to the park to play – back when we ACTUALLY had spring in Sandpoint!

The first time in a swing.. he was LOVING IT

and this is the face he kept giving me when I stopped the swing.. He was SCREAMING at me LOL

...and back having fun

weeeeeeeeeeee

oh look! its me......is it just me or does my body look THREE times larger than my head??
