This cute little man was my a hoot! He totally gave me a run- not once did the little cutie fall asleep for us…. ok actually he did for all of 5 min…. until I moved him LOL. But even with his wondering and exploring eyes, he was so calm and so sweet. It was so hard to not hold him the whole time because he was just so wonderful.
I am so glad I got to meet and get to know this family. Not only was baby wonderful, but also his awesome mom and dad. You could just see the love ooze out of them over their little man. And dad was so awesome with his baby. So comfortable and seemed so happy to just hold him – and he wasnt afraid of the possibility of getting messy LOL. Dad also earned some brownies points in my book for OFFERING to watch the baby while mom came back for her presentation session on Wednesday. How awesome is that!??!! VERY- I say!
Here is a little sneak peek into our session today. The preview will be available shortly by a link posted on my Facebook page.
Sunday News | Sandpoint Photographer

Its Sunday morning… and in my opinion… I was up way too early. I had to have a serious talk with my little guy today that just because the sun is up, that doesnt mean that WE have to be up. I also mentioned to him that if I dont come to his beck-and-call-cries….. I wanna sleep some more – so he better find something to occupy himself in bed with…. I dont think he really took it to heart since he thought it was much more fun to bang on my head and drool on me.. hmmm one day I will be able to sleep in again!
One of my favorite things to read is “What The Duck” this little photog duck just has the WORST luck- makes me crack up laughing.. I hope that you too are able to find some laughter today on this rainy Sunday!

This weekend for a lot of you may be all about BBQ’s and one more day off of work. For the few of us, this is a time to remember our loved ones that are and that have served our Country. I want to thank ALL of our soldiers, past and present, for serving our Country – fighting for our rights.
My brother who is currently stationed in Germany, is getting ready to be deployed again to Iraq. He will be leaving behind a wife and his beautiful little girl that just wont understand why her daddy is gone. Every day I pray for his safety when he leaves. I want him to come back home…. I want his daughter to be able to run up to him and give him the biggest hug EVER… I want to be able to have my brother back!!!
So many lives have been lost for us Americans. So please take the time this weekend and honor those soldiers who have not only fought for us and came back, but for those that fought and did not get to come back to their families. And the next time you see one of our military men or women, stop them and sincerely THANK them for their service. It will mean a lot to them!!
Here is a video to honor those.
A morning funny | Idaho Premier Newborn Photographer

I received this email funny from a friend today and had to share… makes me giggle!
The first day, God created the dog and said:
‘Sit all day by the door of your house and bark at anyone who comes in or walks past. For this, I will give you a life span of twenty years.’
The dog said: ‘That’s a long time to be barking. How about only ten years and I’ll give you back the other ten?’
So God agreed.
On the second day, God created the monkey and said:
‘Entertain people, do tricks, and make them laugh. For this, I’ll give you a twenty -year life span.’
The monkey said: ‘Monkey tricks for twenty years? That’s a pretty long time to perform. How about I give you back ten like the Dog did?’
And God agreed.
On the third day, God created the cow and said:
‘You must go into the field with the farmer all day long and suffer under the sun, have calves and give milk to support the farmer’s family. For this, I will give you a life span of sixty years.’
The cow said: ‘That’s kind of a tough life you want me to live for sixty years. How about twenty and I’ll give back the other forty?’
And God agreed again.
On the fourth day, God created man and said:
‘Eat, sleep, play, marry and enjoy your life . For this, I’ll give you twenty years.’
But man said: ‘Only twenty years? Could you possibly give me my twenty, the forty the cow gave back, the ten the monkey gave back, and the ten the dog gave back; that makes eighty, okay?’
‘Okay,’ said God, ‘You asked for it.’
So that is why for our first twenty years we eat, sleep, play and enjoy ourselves. For the next forty years we slave in the sun to support our family. For the next ten years we do monkey tricks to entertain the grandchildren. And for the last ten years we sit on the front porch and bark at everyone.

Meet Mr. B

I was so excited to finally meet this little guy – I have known his momma for a few years now and I was so excited to hear she was expecting this little dude – I just couldnt wait to meet him. I was shocked to see how much he looks like his brother – handsome of course, but I think Baby B looks more like his beautiful momma!
… I am gonna have an honest moment here with all of you… so prepare yourself… ready?!
ok – here we go!
I was very excited to see him momma again (like I said earlier) and I wanted everything to be “perfect”, but it seems when you try the hardest, I also fall the hardest! This session was NOT ANYTHING that I expected – nor do I think she ever did either – and I feel so terrible about it all.
It took a while for B to get used to me- which is normal and completly ok. I actually expect that. Towards the end, we were having fun together and cracking smiles and silly faces. I could have played with him all day. He was just a little HOOT!!!
ok, here comes the not so good part…. There are many advantages of having a studio at home.. I get to be close to my family and still run my business. It REALLY afforadable for me when it comes to babysitting and I have no travel times or fees for myself. My hubby has been working really hard to be able to work on our yard, but his schedule has been TAPPED out and sadly but thankfully, he is still working on the island- which leaves me without my guy and his tractor. We have great plans for our property and we had planned on it being completed this summer, but things just keeping coming up. It seems the older we get there is always the excuse of either no time or no money. I had really wanted a nice area for my clients for us to use as an outdoor option along with the studio and also the addition was to be done at this time too… and I feel bad because I cant physically do it myself and my poor hubby cant pull more time or $ out of his hiney. I try to be as supportive as I can be. I just hope that my clients can understand all the family situations that come up – with having a studio on a working property site. One of the perks and drawbacks of this all – is life still goes on when I work a session. Unfortunately on the day of her session, there was an accident with one of our dogs. I felt terrible for what happened but even more terrible that she too had to witness and be a part of it on that day. As much as I try and as much as my hubby tries, its still a work in progress over here and I know that one day soon – it will be all completed and all be worth it. I have a wonderful studio and its hard for me to be paitent for the addition to be finished. I have great plans for that area – as well as the yard. It will be nice to watch the kids play in the yard and also have my “outdoor” studio available in the warmer months!
So.. now that I have spilled my beans.. lets get back to this handsome little man!

**N~ thank you so much for coming to see me and again I apologize that you had to be around and see everything. B is wonderful and I am so glad I got to finally meet him. That year went so fast! Hopefully soon we can get all the boys together!**

A picture is the expression of an impression. If the beautiful were not in us, how would we ever recognize it?”"”
Author: Ernst Haas

Is there a perfect time?
Ask yourself that question… then read this post.
Often times, we moms are so hard on ourselves… I know because I am one of those that is always waiting for that “perfect” moment. I wonder all the time of the photos I have around the house with the kids, if they will ever look at them and laugh about how fat, ugly, un-put-together- I was at that moment. OR will they look at those photos and remember all the hugs, the kisses, the stories, the moments where we would roll on the floor laughing – will they think I was pretty – no matter what I actually looked like?!
Of course they will!
My husband lost his mom a few years ago and sadly out of ALL the photos they had growing up, there was only a handful in comparison, of her. I have heard them say that they wish they had more pictures of her. And to them- she was BEAUTIFUL in each and every image. Not ONCE did they say they wanted her to be thinner, prettier, younger, etc. That was their mom and they LOVED her so much!
….and so does your family.
