Introducing….

Posted on January 25, 2010

I am WICKED excited to announce and introduce a new partnership with Jax Creations Photography…. Bella Saraceno from Etsy!

Coming soon to the studio, you will be able to sample and view some FABULOUS items such as homemade hats, headbands and tuts  from……..

Bella Saraceno Logo

Bella Saracena is located out of Pasco Wa- which is great for having someone talented and semi local! Angela and her sister Julie started doing this business because Angela was having such a hard time finding cute accessories for little girls that were also affordable. She had a little girl on in December of ’08 and she wanted to find  pretty little hair accessories.  She would find headbands for up to $20 at local boutiques and found out that the  headbands that would leave marks in her head. And so Angela finally decided  to try to make things on her own.

Angela’s  goal was to keep things affordable and find materials that wouldn’t leave any dents in her daughters or in any child’s head (which was something that kept happening).  She also made everything with a detachable clip so the flowers or bows could be moved around to different headbands, just put in hair alone or even clipped onto a tutu for a fun look.

They have had so much fun with this, that they  are going to be launching another site sometime in February just selling supplies so other moms can make their own headbands too!

I dont know about you all, but I think that is VERY exciting!!!

Starting in February here in the Studio,  there will be a wall display for all to see along with cards and info on how to order your OWN Bella Saracena items!

…so this leaves me to my next news…. I am looking for a few “models” to showcase some Bella Saracena items that should be here VERY soon! Just leave me an email. I need a newborn and a toddler! I have tutus and hats coming :)

Baby A | Sandpoint Newborn Photographer

Posted on January 20, 2010

“rock-a-bye baby in the tree top….”

look at this sweet little baby girl. Oh how my heart just melted. She sweet, so tiny and so beautiful. Baby A was only 12 days old – and I was happy as pie!

Sweet baby A brought along her beautiful momma and her gramma- which she was just BEAMING and oozing love for that little one!

With any newborn session you really never know what to expect… well – I do expect a few messes, a few snack breaks and moments of snuggles, but other than that.. you never know what that sweet baby will give you. Baby A was really good though and slept thru the whole session. The only time she disagreed with what I wanted is when I wanted to move her hands and arms. She was not having any of that LOL- and that was ok.. I still loved her!

Here is a little sneak peek into our session. It was hard to pick only a few to share with you all. I hope you enjoy!

*Momma S, thank you so much for coming in. I really enjoyed meeting all three of you! I pray for nothing but the best for you and your family. Baby A is truly a blessing and SO beautiful. I hope to be able to see you all again soon. If there is anything that you need, please do not hesitate to call or email me~ **

I got to see this momma again and her growing little baby in her belly!! I am looking forward in meeting that sweet little girl. I can never get enough of babies or PINK!! This momma was a natural in front of the camera- which was so refreshing. We basically just laughed the whole time and played! She brought along her little man and he was SO well behaved and was full of laughs and even sharing some loves with me just before they left. I LOVE getting loves from the kids. Makes me feel that they actually LIKE me LOL!!

In Loving Memory

Rachel Anne Dallas
(November 16, 1991 – January 11, 2010)

Last night I received a heart breaking message that a past client of mine passed away on Monday. My heart just stopped and broke for her mom. HOw difficult it must be to lose a child. Something I would NEVER wish on ANYONE. As much as I can only imagine how much her mom is hurting, I know that Rachael is happy, healthy and living wonderfully in Heaven with Our Father. Rachael will be missed dearly.

I met Rachael for her senior photos not that long ago. She was shy at first and then gently showed me her spunky personality. We had a lot of fun that day just playing around. I feel so blessed that I was able to meet her and her mom.

Rachel, beloved daughter of John and Laura Dallas of Cocolalla, ID passed away suddenly on Monday, January 11th, 2010. Rachel was born November 16, 1991 in Lake Arrowhead, CA. Rachel came into this world early and has now tragically left the world early too. During her short 18 years she was a flame that burned very brightly. She had a great passion for life and new experiences; she made a difference in so many lives by just being Rachel.

Moving to Idaho in 1997, she was involved in the local Sandpoint Soccer Association and Sandpoint Junior Miss. She graduated from Sandpoint High School in 2009. Rachel was accepted to the University of Idaho with many academic scholarships and was enjoying her first semester on campus as a Biology Major. She was excited to return to school in the following days. On campus at U of I, Rachel was an active member of AWSUM, a multi-cultural women’s group. Rachel also enjoyed Hip-Hop Dancing, Drawing, Snowboarding and spending time with her friends.

Rachel is survived by her father and mother, John and Laura Dallas, her Aunts & Uncle-Tina & Bob Jones, Diane Linker and Karen Juhlke and her cousins Jacki Juhlke, Hillary Jones, Allison Jones, Gina Campbell, Steve Linker and Jon Linker. Also her boyfriend James Tupper; as well as many good friends of both Sandpoint and Moscow, and her extended family of Cocolalla Loop.

God Bless you Rachel – you will forever be in our hearts and you will be very missed by many. In lieu of flowers, Rachel would have wanted donations given in her name to www.theanimalrescuesite.com or Panhandle Animal Shelter.

Services will be held at Coffelt Funeral Home in Sandpoint on Monday, January 18th at 1:00pm, with Pastor Barry Johnson of New Song Bible Church, officiating. Private interment will follow at a later time in Westmond Cemetery.

Flabby meets Ms. Meanie

Posted on January 9, 2010

Just before Christmas I had made the decision that I was tired of my flab so I did a search and asked friends what my best option would be….. well after many votes I decided on purchasing Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred….

I had left that little DVD box still taped up and sealed on my counter – with good intentions of opening it and getting some of this ripply stuff off of me. But there is sat day after day – starring at me!! And there I was sitting on the couch looking back at it, eating whatever yummy thing I could get my grubby hands on, starring back at it, thinking I really should open it -but my body was telling me “NO! Dont do it.. you will be sore forever!” So finally after two days of hearing my truth- telling- three- year old tell me I have a big belly ….as he rubs it, mind you… I decided ok this was enough!!! The baby did not want to sleep this morning so I figured this was the day. Of course I had to make a deal with myself to get motivated… do this for a full week with healthy eating and you can buy ONE piece of new clothing or fun item.

I announced to my SIL that today was the day and we would do as much as we could… which only equaled out to MAYBE half of the workout. All I have to say is that I am glad I was in the privacy in my own home – for many reasons, but one being I was not having fun and I was letting people know that I was hurting and this was BS.. How can I hurt from JUMPING JACKS???!!! Seriously! My legs seriously felt as if they were in shock. It took them HOURS to stop shaking. I swore any moment they were gonna give out and down I would go! I just keep hoping that tomorrow I can walk. If I can, well, I attempt this workout again. I am sure if I stick to it and continue to eat healthy, that there will be SOME difference. I dont really care about the number… i just care of the fat blowing in the wind or continuously looking like I am having another baby!

Jillian’s workout is GREAT but good gravy – she’s a meanie.. in a good way of course.

I had thought about sharing a before picture, but I dont want you all to know me THAT well! so.. when my 30 days are up, I will take myself out for a mini makeover and post the NEW me :)

Something Funny..

Posted on January 7, 2010

Here is something funny someone posted on Craigslist in Utah…. I believe it is from a photographer who is making a point. This is no way to be a slap in the face for anyone that desires to be a photographer, but it is to just point out that “professional photographers” are more than picking up a camera. ESPECIALLY true for women getting married. Just because Uncle Joe has a nice camera… does not mean you will get great photos… TRUST ME!!!

So… this is something to think about… good prices does not always mean…great photos.

Hi there! My name is Lindsay and I’ve just got a brand new camera for Christmas but haven’t even taken it out of the box. I really want to get into the wedding photography business because I see so many people in Utah are getting married and it looks like easy money. I can’t guarantee that even one photo will turn out looking good but I sure will try. Some pictures will be used for my portfolio and my future website. I start booking appointments this week! I am now booking for Spring and Summer of 2010.

I specialize in all types of Lifestyle photography including:

Weddings – You’ll have to pay $15 for gas money outside of Salt Lake City
Bridals
Engagements
Families
Children
Portraiture
Fashion

My style is classy, elegant and artistic. I would be honored to be part of your special occasion or photography needs considering I have no professional experience. I would love to capture those beautiful moments for you and your family.

I have so much passion for being a pro wedding photographer! All my friends and family tell me I take great pictures at all our outings and picnics. I’m putting together a web site of all the flower pictures and sunsets I’ve taken so you can see how good I am. I even have a few pics of my pet dog which turned out really great!

But I don’t have a business license, liability insurance, flashes, extra batteries, or even more than a kit lens that came in the box. If something goes wrong, you’re out of luck. To keep things cheap for you, I won’t even back up any of your images. Less cost for me means less cost for you. Just passing the savings on. I expect to be paid in cash or personal check because I don’t plan on claiming this income on my taxes.

I know many fun and beautiful locations. I really care about making brides look beautiful! I add glow and selective color to all of my images, giving them the best look possible. No need to hassle with computer programs.

Bridals and Engagements are only $100. Please trust me to do your wedding. I’ll do it cheap just to build up my portfolio. I will only charge you $250 for your entire wedding day. This is a deal. My camera cost me $700 brand new. All sessions include a Hi Resolution CD with FULL copy right release included, which means you get to print your pictures at Wal-Mart! Here’s the BEST Part! I offer 100% guarantee on ALL my sessions! Don’t pay a cent until you are 100% happy with your pictures!

I own a camera therefore I can take photos like the pros, who charge alot more. Most brides in Utah spend $2,500 on professional wedding photography. Since I have no experience I’ll only be charging $250 (90% off regular wedding photography prices) to shoot full day wedding coverage.

Think about it: Pros charge alot of money because they have alot of expenses. I don’t.

Pros have:
-a business license
- multiple cameras
-thousands of dollars in lenses and flashes
-hard drives to back up the images
-insurance
-experience
-people skills
-color calibrated monitors
-professional print labs
-professional albums

I have none of this stuff so we’ll keep it cheap, just for you!

E-mail me if you want to set an appointment or if you have any questions, I will gladly respond.

  • it’s NOT ok to contact this poster with services or other commercial interests
