Lets Get Serious…

One of the lovely “joys” of being prego is all of the tv I get to watch. Today I caught Dr. Phil and I am so glad that I did.If you missed it, it was about child abductors. This subject is a scary scary thing for parents. That is one of my WORST fears of my children. I love the thought of getting them tagged someway or another to be able to track them if anything horrible happened.

One of the guests was a young girl who was kidnapped, tortured, and raped everyday for 3 months by her neighbor. My heart went out to this girl so much. I wanted to reach out to her, hug her, and tell her that I am SO PROUD of her for making it thru that horrible ordeal. She was brainwashed to believe that she was no good, stupid, dumb, and fat. So not true of course, but its amazing to me how a sick and demented man can do something like that to a child. I wish I had this magical power to just hug these children that are abused and hurt, and take away all thier pain and suffering they had to deal with.

Dr. Phil had a guest on there that was teaching parents on how to help parents protect your children from kidnapping. I urge you to PLEASE teach your children and any kids that you know of how to protect themselves.

* Dont use the word “stranger” anymore- it can be anyone
*Be smart- not scared
* spot dangerous situations/ actions
*Rules change when child is in danger. knock stuff over . bring attention to you in a public place.
*Get your child a passport

There is a new movie coming out that is about child abductions featuring Tom Arnold who him himself was a victim. This movie took 7 years to make and is about the life of a 8 year old girl from the kidnapping to her as an 18 year girl.For more info on this movie, check out this link Garden Of The Night .

I know that living here in Northern Idaho is not as scary as living in the city- trust me I know, but we still need to be cautious of things and people around us. We cant be too trusting with our children. We as parents have it so hard. We cant be TOO protective so that they freak out and completely go against everything we say and do but we also cant be so free with boundaries so that they put themselves in harms way. Man, parenting is hard!

Playing Catch – Up

I dont really have a lot to play catch up but I just feel like sharing some things that are happening. Well first off can I just confess that I am so stinken hormonal!!! Sometimes nice, sometimes…not so nice. I am sitting here watching Oprah and its about Amazing kids. What an inspirational show this is. The last story was about a boy named Eliot. OHMIGAWSH…. you have to read about this story. Bring your tissues because you will cry.

Ok hang on. Celine Dion is on and she is going to sing.

ok.. so the moment of truth. We actually had decided NOT to share this but I cant help it anymore. Maybe its because I want someone else to suffer with me ( see there is my not-so-nice-me) Last monday, we found out that we are expecting..again. I was REALLY hoping that I was like ideally 12 weeks only because that would be awesome. But with our ultrasound we weren’t :( Today I am 8 weeks and 4 days. I feel like I am never gonna get passed this part. I get so sick and end up in the hospital around 10 weeks from being dehydrated.

I never did get to finish that last post and since in never closed the computer, I decided to just pik up where I left off. Well I actually made it to the hospital a week earlier than usual. I got stinken dehydrated and had to stay the night Thursday for some fluids and medication. Good Grief. For all those “lucky” gals that dont get sick during pregnancy- I so envy you.. I would love to feel amazing during the those first 3 months – oh well, right?!?

back towards the end of October, as some of you know, we took a little family vaca down to Napa California. My wonderful husband took care of everything and did ALL the driving. He was so amazing with all the kids and with me. He never complained about me sleeping, or asking to pull over or all the food i wanted to eat. He was so awesome!! We did get to see some of the Redwoods, which was really neat. But I was so sick that I had NO desire to pick up that camera – BLAH. But I made great friends with our potty!

October was a very good break for Jax Creations Photography, but November is quickly booking all up. So if you are wanting to do those Christmas pictures, please call or email me and schedule your session ASAP. Everything will be on a first come first served basis and since I am not feeling too peachy, I will only be taking 1 appointment per day. I appreciate your understanding and hope to see you all soon!!!
