A Day With The Lillies {Part One}

Every once in a blue moon and in between a wild hair, the kids ask to have their pictures taken. Well who am I to tell them no?! So my dramatic daughter and I headed out for the day for some photo fun. Now, let me explain something about this little chickabee…. I do not tell her what to do. She is my all natural model. I blame it on the fact that she has been around this business her whole life and she has been! What is scary is that she knows what to do in front of camera. I am in SO much trouble. All in all, we had a good time. I call this Day With The Lillies because she can look different in some many pictures!

The Bugs & The Bees With Becca & Me
{Senior Session}

Earlier this week, I headed out to Dover for senior session. It was so nice to hang with a sweet and QUIET gal for a very nature filled shoot! I call this session my “Ambercrobie” session. I am sure that those of you who know what I am talking about are thinking that these are NO WHERE NEAR that style, but just bare with me!

Sweet Becca was very nice to me as I kept telling her to stand in the weeds and grass and lean on tress and climb on rocks. There was no way I was gonna do it. I realized more that morning that I was still more of a city girl!! So thank you B for getting “dirty”. We took a nice walk in Dover that morning before the sun started baking us and enjoyed the nice path and bridge that is out there. It was nice and relaxing and sometimes quiet between the noises that her dog was making. It was cute actually and funny – but anywho… when we reached the end of the bridge to the walk path, the air filled with LOUD crickets and other bugs. MAN they were loud and there was NO way I was stepping foot in that grass.

Anywho check out the pics and tell me what you think! I had a great time and hope you enjoy them too!!

You Slacker!

I have been slacking for sure on the blog. But no fear my friends!! I have LOTS to say and post!!
Check out the new stuff.

But first.. i have to tell you a funny!!

Now, those who know me, know that I am not a gardener. Those of you who dont know me.. understand this… I am NOT a gardener!! I was told a couple years ago to get rose bushes because they were hard to kill. I went all out and bought the best rose food and made sure I watered when I was suppose to.. A couple weeks later… DEAD. Now, i was able to squeeze a few more weeks out of one only because my dog kept peeing on it. I guess they have a secret ingredient that rose food doesnt! So my roses died and all i was left with was a flower bed full of dusty dirt. Does not go well with this house. Lets just put it this way… I can kill anything INCLUDING silk flowers. Its just not in my genes or in my thumb to be able to grow any flowers. I love flowers and I dream o fa day where my yard is green and luscious and full of beautiful flowers. ahhhh the dream!!

So the guys were out digging a flower bed today and my daughter went out inspecing thier work like a *diva* should and of course they guys questioned her and tried to quiz her by asking if she knew what they were doing. Well without skipping a beat, she replied, “you are making a grave for my moms flowers”.
Ok so that just about got me on the floor rolling. How true that is!! Man, my daughter knows me so well!!

I wish I had a before picture to share but all i am left with is the AFTER. SO you need to imagine that this pot once held – and not soo long ago either- a beautiful and colorful array of flowers. It was HUGE. But now… I am a sad, sad, SAD green thumb mom. Its a good thing I have other talents other than gardening!! For those of you who can plant stuff AND keep it alive… I envy you :)
