Here is another recent senior session I just completed. This is Mr. D! We started this session EARLY and usually I am an early bird but the weather that day was so gloomy that all i wanted to do is stay in bed and eat chocolate chip cookies and watch chick flicks, but I got up and actually put myself together the best that i could for that morning and started with a fun senior session. I was surprised that Mr. D was more awake than I. I remember back in high school (loooong ago – which is so scary) that come summer time you would NOT catch me up that early AND dressed unless it was for training!
anywho, we did some studio stuff and then headed out in Cocolalla for some location stuff. Mr. D is a golfer and he must have been so annoyed with my “golf terms”. I was all, “get out your golf thingy”, or “grab the club with the biggest bottom round part”. He was cool for not rolling his eyes at me or laughing at me. We did although get yelled out for being on “private property”. Its a good thing his mom was there. She bought us a few more minutes on the “green”.
As we were coming to an end, we landed up at my new fave spot and did some ‘urban’ stuff out there. It was very weird editing the photos because they look so different than my last senior session I did in the same spot!
Anywho, Mr. D, it was very nice working with you and THANK you for putting up with my lack of gold knowledge. I hope that you enjoy the photos!!
Its called Lucis. Its suppose to be a fun rough drawing of an image.
Its more of an “ARTISTIC” look.
{ Family Sneak Peek}
Well I guess it’s not considered a sneak peek if they have already seen the pictures but YOU guys have not, so enjoy!
This beautiful family reminds me of the Kevin Bacon story where you know someone and they kow this person and it just a huge full circle.. anywho.. The mom was just beautiful inside and out and the dad was just fun! The kids were so beautiful and well behaved and just…childlike. It was so nice to see it.
This was the kids creation that they did… TOGETHER.. and NICELY!!I was even given a gift from one of the kids and I still have it!!
So thanks again to my “shutter bug” friends for not only a great afternoon but also for the motivation and inspiration to see more of MY life. I love capturing other people and love sharing a sneak peak from their sessions, but they are right about doing a little more of us (me and family). The only problem I see with that, is I personally HATE being in front of camera. Doesn’t matter how great I feel that day or how much makeup I use to cover my face, I never feel that I “look” good in photos. I am just not that photogenic. SO my challenge to myself…… DAADAADUMMM… is to #1. take some pictures of myself and TRY to get the family so that I have a decent family and bio picture of me. I have one that was YEARS ago that my best friend took but I think that would be a little deceiving since I look COMPLETELY different.
Challenge #2… is to take more pictures of our daily lives and share them. Now, I will have to warn you that life inside that Chazbo home is not all that exciting. Although at times you will find some funny moments, flying kids in dress up clothes and even times where this crazy, worn out, never have enough chocolate to eat, mother, dancing in the kitchen or rolling on the floor laughing with my kids!
I think my kids deserve to see some of that in print and maybe one day they can turn around and use those goofy pictures of me as blackmail
I love my family more than anything and feel really blessed to have each and every one of them – even when I have one of those, just-drug-me-and-lock-me-in-a-padded-room-day!
And if any of you other talented “shutter bugs” want to try your hand at some DIFFERENT family photos… you know how to reach me!!
Its interesting that with the new year of MOPS this year that the theme is Adventures In Mothering. Today was a true ROLLERCOASTER ride. This morning, we had to put our lil pup down. Its not a good way to start your morning, not does it make for an enjoyable day. BUT…. when you have people to lean on, its amazing how you are so gracefully picked up and dusted off. I had plans today for a girls lunch, was looking forward for a while to hang with some chickabees – who we all share a similar hobby/gift/talent….photography and by this late morning I just did not know what the day held for me. I know that I had work waiting for me on my desk, a daughter that has A LOT of school work to do, a 2 year old that is a VERY active kid, and a newborn session this afternoon. Did i really want to sit with a bunch of girls and bring their mood down.. no of course not. But after prayer and some hugs from my hubby, I decided that lunch with some gals would be fun. and it was!
We sat with no kids and had a very yummy lunch and had great conversation. It was a lot of fun to talk about something we all had in common with no one rushing anyone. We laughed and it felt SO GOOD> so thank you girls so much!! I really needed that.
In the middle of our lunch, one of the girls rubbed my leg and I thought “aww thank you for thinking of me and giving me loves” – how self-centered am I?? well all of a sudden there was this HOT good looking guy at our table. It was my hubby. He brought me a sweet flower. How thoughtful he was and so surprising to do something like that in public!! That got MAJOR brownie points!!! It was so ……. amazing that he would do something like that. Made me feel at that moment that he not only thinks of me, but cares for me. Cares that TODAY, my rollercoaster of motherhood, Rollercoaster of life, was just too much. It was more than my one cup of coffee could handle. More than my heart could bare. So between my husband, my new set of shutterbug friends and a flower, they have picked me up ever so gracefully and dusted me off.
{Trash The Dress}
So I have been WAITING to do a TTD session for what seems like FOREVER… I finally was able to get a bride that wanted to do one… and, ok! THEY ROCK! We did not get as “dirty” as we have gotten but it was still fun to not worry about getting the dress “dirty” and just having some fun. They endured bloody sucking mosquito’s and FREEZING COLD water. Places where you would find me on the other side just watching.. and taking pictures of course.
R&T, Thank you SO much for getting together with me to do this session. I had a lot of fun and hope that you did too. You guys are so awesome and have such a wonderful sense of humor!
Here is my fave list:
I had to share these with you all. This is one of my Babe’ Me Collection Client and I {luv} them. I totally adore their lil guy – who you have seen MANY times and sweet Ms. C , who is so shy and so cute. They are expecting baby #2 and as you can see, its a GIRL!!! YAH!!!!
OK, so no one can take offense to that, but tonight I had a FABO session with a senior gal. I left the session with so much energy that I actually cleaned the kitchen… HAPPILY!!
Miss R was such a natrual in front of the camera. It was so refreshing. It makes such a difference when you are comfortable in front of the camera. I should know because I HATE being in front of the camera, and you can SO totally tell!!
I am usually not the one to post a Sneak Peak so soon but I just could not resist. Take a look!
Miss R and Laura…. THANK YOU SO MUCH for letting me do your senior photos. I really hope you had a good time and enjoy the images. R is such a natural in front of the camera- Thank you again!! I hope you guys enjoy!
Ok I cant decide. Color…..

Ohhh I wonder if anyone can guess where this location is?? What a fun game that would be. And no, Laura and R you can NOT guess- that would be cheating!
