I had the pleasure of meeting another super nice and beautiful family. They brought me a sweet, tiny, adorable little girl. It is so nice to have some girls come thru the door. I hope this family likes their photos as much as I do. What do you think of the new color background?? I really like it.

Want to see more of this cute one? Then click on the Recent Video clip on the side to view their video I did for them :)

I just wanted to say, thank you, to the H family for letting me capture your sweet one so young. I hope to be able to continue to watch and share her life thru photos!!

Hi Everyone.. I hope everyone had an enjoyable Christmas and New Year.. I dont know about ya’ll but I am GLAD its over!! This year just was not the same as it has been. Could be that the older I get, the more the “magic” disappears, or it could be that without kids running through the house for Christmas, just kind of kills your mood. Either way, its done and I feel relieved. Now, if I could just hang in till Friday without making my husbands life at home miserable, everything will be great. My 2 oldest will be flying back from sunny Florida, and I just cant wait to see them again. Of course they are not as thrilled to be back home. At Gramma’s house, they get the world served to them on any pretty – candy filled platter. Home is where the RULES are.. YUCK!!! But with rules, they also get wonderful family traditions and quality family time.

So, for a few announcements….. Jax Creations will be getting a new look!!! Only on paper that is. I am in the process of designing new letterhead and trying to decide what design I want for new product bags. I am really bad at making those kinds of decisions, because I like way too many things.

I will also start a new management program so you might be receiving an email from me with more info from you so that I can better track your orders and history.

I am getting ready to finish up my new marketing material which will include a DVD of Jax Creations Photography. If you would like one, please email me and I will send one out to you. You never know.. you might just see YOUR photo!! When you are done with it, you can even pass it on to a friend that you think would be interested in Jax Creations Photography. But make sure they tell me YOUR name if they book, so that you may receive your referral benefits!!

I am drafting up my yearly calendar of events and I am excited that the first one is right around the corner. I hope that you all will participate in some (or ALL) events coming.

With Valentines coming, I am planning on offering 2 promotions. So please be on the look out for those posting soon.

Another fun announcement… A close friend of mine is planning on opening her store soon – in Feb. I am so excited for her and I hope that you all make a point to check out her new store. She will be carrying some maternity and baby/ children items – boutique style. She will be located downtown near Panida, please go visit her when she opens the doors. I will make sure I post the address and opening date when it becomes available.

I have to put a plug in for MOPS.. If you are a mom with children under the age of 5, I REALLY hope you are going to MOPS.
MOPS stands for Mothers Of Preschoolers. This is a christian organization that supports moms. I cant tell you how much MOPS has changed my life. It seems so much more enjoyable. The best part was that not only has MOPS made my life so much more wonderful, I have passed it down to my family. We are all benefiting from MOPS.
If you want more info on MOPS, please check out the website or you can come as my guest and see for yourself how AMAZING it is. www.mops.org
Our next meeting is January 10th at First Christian Church. We will be discussing Organization. Our next meeting after that we will be discovering how to find the perfect bra and pair of jeans. The 2 most important part of feeling and looking good. Who wants sagging boobs and unflattering jeans??!! Not I. I want perky and the appearance of bigger than I am (up top) and slimmer and tight on the bottom!!

Speaking of tighter and slimmer…. My husband decided we needed an Ab Machine. Its not really a machine but that thing you sit in – which is comfortable- and helps you do sit ups…. Ab Lounger, I think it is… well comfy as it is, I do not recommend eating and working out at the same time. Bad things MIGHT just happen. That is all I am going to say about that.

Well, my friends, it is back to work for me. I have a new program that I can not figure out for the life of me how to use. But, good news for me, I expressed shipped – over nighted- a for dummies book of this stupid program I can not figure out. Hopefully tomorrow I wont be foaming at the mouth or twitching and be able to control this software instead of it controlling me..

Here is a wonderful email I received. I want to share with you all.. Until next post, make good choices and have a good time at it!!

A 3-year-old tells all from

his mother’s restroom stall.

By Shannon Popkin

My little guy,

Cade, is quite a talker. He loves to communicate and does it quite

well.

He talks to people constantly, whether we’re in the library, the

grocery store or at a drive-thru window.

People often comment on how clearly he speaks for a

just-turned-3-year-old. And you never have to ask him to turn up the

volume. It’s always fully cranked. There’ve been several embarrassing

times that I’ve wished the meaning of his words would have been masked

by a not-so-audible voice, but never have I wished this more than last

week at Costco.

Halfway, through our shopping trip,

nature called, so I took Cade with

me into the restroom. If you’d been one of the ladies in the restroom

that evening, this is what you would have heard coming from the second

to the last stall:

“Mommy, are you

gonna go potty? Oh! Why are you putting toiwet paper on the potty,

Mommy?

Oh! You gonna sit down on da toiwet paper now?

Mommy, what are you doing?

Mommy, are you gonna go stinkies on the potty?”

At this point I

started mentally counting how many women had been in the bathroom when

I walked in. Several stalls were full … 4? 5?

Maybe we could wait until

they all left before I had to make my debut out of this stall and

reveal my identity.

Cade continued, “Mommy, you ARE going stinkies aren’t you?

Oh, dats a

good girl, Mommy! Are you gonna get some candy for going stinkies on

the potty? Let me see doze stinkies, Mommy! Oh … Mommy! I’m trying

to see in dere. Oh! I see dem. Dat is a very good girl, Mommy. You are

gonna get some candy!”

I heard a few faint chuckles coming from the stalls on either side of

me. Where is a screaming new born when you need her? Good grief. This

was really getting embarrassing. I was definitely waiting a long time

before exiting.

Trying to divert him,

I said, “Why don’t you look in Mommy’s purse and see if you can find

some candy We’ll both have some!” “No, I’m trying to see doze more

stinkies.

Oh! Mommy!” He started to gag at this

point. “Uh oh, Mommy. I fink I’m

gonna frow up. Mommy, doze stinkies

are making me frow up!! Dat is so

gross!!”

As the gags became louder, so did the chuckles outside my stall. I

quickly flushed the toilet in hopes of changing the subject. I began

to reason with myself: OK. There are four other toilets. If I count

four flushes, I can be reasonably assured that those who overheard

this embarrassing monologue will be long gone.

“Mommy!

Would you get off the potty, now? I want you to be done going

stinkies! Get up! Get up!” He grunted as he tried to pull me off.

Now I could hear

full-blown laughter. I bent down to count the feet outside my door.

“Oh, are you wooking under dere, Mommy? You wooking under da door?

What were you wooking at, Mommy? You wooking at the wady’s feet?”

More laughter. I stood inside the locked door and tried to assess the

situation.

“Mommy, it’s time to wash our hands, now. We have to go out now,

Mommy.” He started pounding on the door. “Mommy, don’t you want to

wash your hands? I want to go out!!”

I saw that my “wait ‘em

out” plan was unraveling. I sheepishly opened the door, and found

standing outside my stall, twenty to thirty ladies crowded around the

stall, all smiling and starting to applaud. My first thought was

complete emabarassment, then I thought, “Where’s the fine print on the

‘motherhood contract’ where I signed away every bit of my dignity and

privacy?” But as my little boy gave me a big, cheeky grin while he

rubbed bubbly soap between his chubby little hands, I thought, I’d

sign it all away again, just to be known as Mommy to this little

fellow.
